Collaborative Process

Collaborative Process:
Specialized Therapy & Services

I offer specialized support to individuals, couples and families navigating the challenges of separation. Separation is stressful given that one’s life has turned upside down. I am here to walk with you through the process, with therapeutic support and an understanding of what is involved in divorce. You don’t have to go through it alone.

Collaborative Process

Collaborative practice is a constructive alternative to a court-based process. Respectful and client-focused, this resolution process can be a good option for separating couples. Each party is represented by their own lawyer, and decisions get made jointly in “team” meetings. A financial professional can be part of the team, providing guidance with the gathering of the necessary information needed to determine child and spousal support, property division, and other financial decisions. The Family Professional aids in helping the separating couple with all things child and family related, including the creation of the parenting plan, and managing the strong emotions in the process.

Collaborative Process

Unique Focus on Supporting Family Lawyers and Collaborative Practice Professionals:

Are you struggling in the profession with burnout, compassion fatigue, or vicarious trauma?  What you do is hard work and I get it. As a Family Professional in Collaborative Practice and Family Mediation, I have experienced first-hand the impact of this work on oneself.  Deeply rewarding, and at the same time very stressful and draining: working with people who are in crisis is difficult! It is time to put the oxygen mask on you. Are you wondering if you should reach out to book an appointment? Here are some questions to consider:

  • Are you lacking the energy and enthusiasm for the work you once loved?
  • Are you noticeably more irritable, impatient, and less empathic to your client or colleagues?
  • Are you constantly feeling drained, with little joy left for your family and friends?

You aren’t meant to suffer through this on your own.  Reach out and get connected.  It is time to put your health first!
