Separation work asks a lot of the professionals who do it. Some files stall for reasons that have little to do with the law, and some cases stay with you long after the meeting ends.
Consulting for Family Lawyers, Mediators and Therapists

I bring close to 30 years as a therapist to this work. I’m an Accredited Family Mediator (OAFM) and have previously worked in Collaborative Practice as a Family Professional and Trainer/Coach, so I understand both the emotional and the process side of separation.
A Second Opinion When a Client Feels Stuck
A focused 30-minute consultation for when a file isn’t moving, such as when:
- Mental health concerns are affecting a client’s ability to participate
- There are safety concerns or high-conflict dynamics
- The parties have reached an impasse
- Professional relationships on the file have become strained
You’ll leave with a clearer sense of what may be driving the stuck point and practical next steps. That might include whether your client would benefit from pre-mediation preparation or therapy support alongside the process. Consultations use de-identified information unless your client has consented to share more.

Support for You
Working with people in crisis is deeply rewarding, and also draining. If you’ve noticed less energy for work you once loved, more irritability or less patience with clients or colleagues, or little left for your own family, you’re not alone. We all bring ourselves to our professional roles, so it makes sense that some cases get under our skin. Using Internal Family Systems (IFS), I can help you understand what’s getting triggered and find your footing again. It’s time to put your own oxygen mask on.
