With over 10 years of experience first as an Accredited Family Mediator, and later as a Family Professional in the Collaborative (Law) Process, I bring a unique and invaluable perspective to separation and divorce. My approach is non-adversarial; I strive to be a peacemaker who is respectful, amicable, and neutral. I have had the privilege of watching families thrive post-divorce because the separating parents chose a non-adversarial approach to their separation.
Parenting Plans
If you and your spouse are separating and you have children, you should have a Parenting Plan. A Parenting Plan is the detailed agreement you and your partner co-create that is all things kids-related. The Parenting Time Schedule, holidays and vacations, school and education, medical decisions and so much more get included in your unique Parenting Plan. Michele walks you through what needs to be included in the document. The two of you are the decision makers. Michele then drafts your agreement and forwards it to each person’s lawyer for final review and signatures.
Are you and your spouse getting along and you are wondering if you need to create a Parenting Plan? I hear that sometimes. The answer is YES! Don’t wait for a conflict before creating a Parenting Plan. Creating a plan is easier when you are getting along. And when you run into to a challenge, you will then have the road map to know how to handle it.
